International Tourism Conference

During March 2011 distinguished guests from around the world gathered in Jerusalem for the first Jerusalem International Tourism conference themed Tourism in a Global World. This unique conference brought together high-level guests and dignitaries in tourism and travel, media, art, technology, culture and more in order to exchange on key issues, current trends and technology affecting global tourism.

Contracted by the Jerusalem Development Authority and working with ICC Jerusalem and Benny Moran Productions, Sting Communications managed the content and program of the conference identifying, liaising and confirming key guest speakers, working closely with the Jerusalem Development Authority to create appropriate panel sessions, side events and more. Sting Communications also managed the ground logistics for over 20 VIP high-level foreign guests, working together with the City of Jerusalem to coordinated and manage the hospitality for all guests. Sting Communications also assisted with the copywriting for important information such as the conference program, brochure, website, invitation letters, correspondence with VIP guests, international marketing materials and more.

Conference guest participants included the renowned TV news anchor Chris Matthews of NBC & MSNBC; Jesus Perezagua, President of Fox International Channels Europe; William (Bill) Roedy, Former Chairman of MTV Networks International; di Miron, President of Ananey Communications, one of Israel's leading TV Content producers; Under Minister of Touristic Operation as Director General of Tourism Product Development for Mexico; Mr. Zoltan Somogyi, Executive Director, World Tourism Organization (UNWTO); Meir Brand, Google’s Regional Director for Israel, Greece & South Africa; Director of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York; James Snyder, Director of the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, and many more; Honorable Antonio Raimondi, Mayor of Gaeta, Italy; Mrs. Kathleen Matthews, Executive Vice President, Global Communications & Public Affairs, Marriott International; Architect & Designer Michael Bedner and much more.
